Looking for some info on what it might cost to ship an engine from Wisconsin to PA. Getting some quotes at $1100 and thought that was high. I tried searching the forums as I know I read some threads about this subject but I am not getting the info to come up. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Try getting a quote from Blue Line Freight- - - -they're the trucking company owned by Fastenal. You'll need to give them the origin and destination points, and a weight figure to get a quote. They ship palletized freight from one Fastenal facility to another. I got a disassembled 216 engine shipped from Oklahoma to Tennessee a while back for around $300.00, much less than other shippers wanted. The engine or other parts must be "dry" and secured to a pallet so it can be handled with a forklift and doesn't leak oil or coolant all over the trailer.

Deegs53,

The info in the Swap Meet (and Hauling Board) are dropped after 30 days. That's why you couldn't find much in your search of the forums.

As you see, a fellow Bolter came up with some input. Maybe some others will have more to share, also. The Moderator may weigh in with some info, too. thinking

Maybe you can include a time-frame to get it moved. Someone may just be "going your way" and can help out with this.
