Hi everyone.. was mainly in the shop area until someone told me to check this out.. Great to know there are people and resources around me.

Trying to get to the point I can see if I can get my '54 running.. looking like later this week.. fingers crossed..

I've added a few pics of the old girl... might end up calling it Rusty.. naugh.. smile

T -Doug, Glad to have you with us , your '54 look like a solid start for your project. The Wife and I just spent a weekend in Ft.Payne, dropped down towards Montgomery on the way home today. Really liked Alabama.

Yeah Chuck. That is still my favorite find and I’ve had a few.
New correct thermostat housing and hose looks better.
I almost decided to leave it as is for a conversation starter but no.

Got the old girl running for about 30 secs. Seems the carb my be ok. Put water in it and found a leak. Hole in a freeze plug. Just finished applying JB weld to it and will wait for it to cure overnight. Sure sounded good to hear it idle and purring like a kitten.

The fix on the hole worked fine... have a drip now from somewhere else that I'm going to track down later.. A drip I can handle until I get it to the point of being able to take a road trip..
