I picked up my 1967 GMC 7500 a few months back. A project for me and my dad to build one more truck while he still feels up to it. We have never tackled a project of this size and until looking at the truck I hate to admit I had never heard of the GMC magnum v6 engines. I am so glad we took up this project it has been a task (aided by information on these forums) to find parts. We have slowly tracked down everything and have the old girl running like a champ. The sound of these old motors is just flat out great and I am in love. I thought this was going to be a long term project but due to circumstances beyond my control (corporate BS) I am now unemployed and taking a few months off. Spend time with my first granddaughter and decide if I'm done being a trucker. It also gives me the time and money to go full speed ahead on my old girl. A few pictures of when I first got her to present. Will be posting updates as we go.

Had to add this. I still had a old cedar post from a shed my grandfather had built. I took a small chunk and made me a shift knob.

They made a V12 version of that engine. Basically two V6 engines end-to-end. Here's a picture of a fancied-up one. Goooooogle "Blastolene B-702"

Bamafan ... If you have any thoughts of converting it to a tilt hood, you should send me a PM ...

Great truck!

They also made a 637 V-8. We have one in our 9500 ladder truck.

Well swapped out the factory pipes to 3 inch stainless today with short Cherry bombs. When we get the bed all lined up she will be getting 3 inch chrome stacks.

John Milliman I had considered it but I love the old hood style. I'm going to keep it factory for now in the future never know lol.
