To All.

There is a lot of information being posted at the Smoky Mountain Nationals FB page. [] Below is a copy of the information that was sent out to registered show participants.

Hello and thanks for your pre-registration.

Most of you are familiar with Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and the many thousands of attractions they offer. Townsend is much quieter, and we enjoy the Little River that runs through town, the bike and walking trails, fly fishing, tubing, and the National Park. I have attached a map of Townsend that will help you get around at first. Everyone is very friendly in this town so don’t hesitate to stop and ask someone. (Like before we had cell phones)

The Talley Ho Inn, 8314 State Highway 73, Townsend, TN 37882, host several Car shows during the season. They are very well versed and very accommodating. They have graciously offered their show facility for our fund-raising event at no cost. Since this is a non-profit show, please bring cash if possible. We are not set up to take credit cards this year. There are a few banks on the main drag if you forget. Thanks. The attached map shows the show entrance. You can show up the day before. Let me know, as I'm sure I will be on sight somewhere.

This will be at The Peacefulside Social 7967 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy, Townsend, TN. 37882. Special parking will start at 2PM. If you are preregistered you will receive a truck number showing that you are available for judging. This is a "Patrons Pick" award that will be given out by PSS later that evening and has been built by BS Metal Worx of Michigan. Our cruise will leave at 4pm and we will return around 5:30. Judging will continue at that point until 6:30/7:00. We have been provided a tent next to the Taco Bar so we can all sit and eat together. This Patrons Pick award will be given out then. PSS will stay open until 8pm and all are encouraged to hang out until the end.

The Hearts & Hands Scholarship fund will be receiving the show proceeds this year. We are happy and proud to invest in the areas youth that aspire to further their education. This fund was established in 1994 to award scholarships to Townsend, Tennessee residents attending regionally accredited colleges or vocational schools. To date over 330,000 dollars has been awarded.

The gate will open early but the show officially starts at 9AM. A Food truck will be onsite for early meals. Once you get in the facility and parked head over to Show HQ (white 10x20 canopy). You will receive your truck number, welcome bag, and shirts there. If you are bringing a trailer, please let me know so we can get that tucked away in the back of our Show area. As with any outdoor show, I would suggest throwing in a 10x10 Canopy & portable chairs. I picked one up at a show a few years ago and use it constantly. We will have some extra shirts available also.

This is a new event spurred on by a few good truck friends of mine. We will leave from the Talley Ho Inn show grounds after the awards ceremony and photos. Our goal is to leave the grounds at 4pm and cruise Foothills Parkway West to the 129 Dragon Harley-Davidson shop at 5908 Calderwood Hwy, Tallassee TN. This area is the lower part of the World famous "Tail of the dragon". The Harley shop is staying open late for us and has restrooms and shopping. We will stay long enough for all to enjoy the lake views before heading back. We will have a few designated point trucks that can assist you with your questions and any need you might have along the way. This will all be discussed at the Talley Ho prior to take off.

The judging system for the SMN's Best of Show, Peoples Choice and the top ten is 100% chosen by those that are entered in the show. You will receive a judging form in your welcome bag and asked to return it by noon. Please take your time and make your selections carefully. The Awards Ceremony will be at the “Smoky Mountain Nationals” stage across from the Show HQ at 2pm. We ask that you bring your portable chairs and your truck number. The truck number will go in a raffle box and prizes will be chosen accordingly. All numbers will be replaced back in the box for the final grand prize given out by BS Metal Worx.

We are constantly adding media content and show info to our Smoky Mountain Nationals Facebook page [] Visit that page for the most current and up to date info.
