Hey everyone! We are new here. We recently ran into a deal we thought sounded good.

This will be my wife and I first restoration project. It may take a few years and to find the time, as we farm and raise registered Texas Longhorns on the side.

We are located in Cave City, KY.

Already, just joining the group, we have learned that we have a 1948 2 ton Loadmaster. We will be relying a lot on these forums. Any advice and help is appreciated, as well as navigating the site.

Thanks and I’ll add some pics of our find.

Looking forward to learning!

Thanks for the pictures. I've wanted a flat bed one one just never crossed my path when looking. We're all here to help. Just post questions in the garage forums and we'll do the rest.
Checkout the Southern bolters forum for our gathering in nearby Tenn. We love meeting new bolters
See you around the garage forums.

Looks like ya got a real good workhorse there. It should be a great tool around the farm. Congrats thumbs_up

Authorized Pest
Longhorn (and wife!)

I see you've been in several spaces already around our "virtual garage." Hope we haven't gotten you too spun about. There really is some organized madness here. dang

Glad the Bolters in General Truck Talk were able to help you identify your truck and gave you some good intel on the registration. Lots to follow there.

And it goes without saying, that the Southern Bolters jumped in to invite you for a "Pepsi" ... that's our Alvin. Hope you get a chance to take him up on that. Alvin is an icon of the site. Maybe you two will get a chance to go to their Jamboree.

I'm guessing you'll see that the Shops Area and the Big Bolts forums will be a wealth of help. Big Bolts are a special breed ... hence the Parking Lot space. thumbs_up

Kentucky is not that far from the DC area. So, if you have a hankering for some more crazy Southern-types, check out the ODSS crew. (Home of Stovebolt HQ. grin )

Man. Sounds like you all have a lot going on already ... farms, Longhorns, a big truck restoration. We're here to help with the truck parts.
