Finally getting around to this.

I picked my truck from the original owner about 6 years ago and quickly found that not a whole lot was worth restoring. It have been half buried in a barn for too long. The frame was rotten and the cab floor had been cut out. I considered scraping the idea and finding something in better condition, but ended up finding a frame and all of the patch panels cheap enough and so change my mind. I’ve spent the last couple year collecting parts and reconditioning what I had. I just started putting the frame and cab together this past winter and hope to have a roller soon.

Plan is to go with a mild upgrade but mostly a poor man’s restoration. I just want something to drive around on a Sunday afternoon at 45 mph. A 235, 58-62 and dual master cylinder are the only planned changes.

Cheers!

CSteve,

I see you have already posted a question HERE in the Driveline forum.

Hope you can get us some pictures of the truck. pix Sounds like you've already taken it from "not worth it" to "plans for a roller soon." Good for you.

Did I say pictures? pix

Looking forward to hearing more about it. It seems you have already figured out where to post your questions.

Welcome.

Welcome Steve! Just to add that "Affordable" is a vast territory full of opportunity for excellence. You can get a whole lot done there! We can help!

Read through these forums and you'll see the synergy of guys helping each other. Get to know us.

Remember that there are three options available in how to get an old truck project accomplished:

1. Good
2. Fast
3. Affordable

I see you've picked your two. The good news is that they are the same two most of *us* picked! Its amazing what you can accomplish if you roll up your calendar and chuck it out the window.

Welcome aboard!
