New to Stovebolt as of February of this year. I've got the cylinder head off of the 216 engine in my 53 Chevy 3600 and I would like to find a machine shop in my area that can clean, inspect and fix any problems they find. The engine hasn't run for 25+ years and I would like to make sure there are no major problems with it before I fire it up. If there are any Stovebolters that can recommend a machine shop that knows what they are doing with an old engine around the Raleigh, Durham, Greensboro area of North Carolina I would greatly appreciate the info.
Thanks,
Al

Boyette's Machine Shop in Raleigh did a great job overhauling my 216 Engine Cylinder Head. Thanks for recommending them PaPa Joe! I hope the photo attaches to this post...
