After several years, we are restarting the Stovebolt Gabfest at the Wisconsin Automotive Museum in Hartford Wisconsin on Saturday, August 19th. Please contact Randy Baumann at randy74@charter.net for more information.
Also, on a sad note, Wally Becker who was an important part of starting and organizing this gathering passed away recently. Everyone who knew him will miss him very much.

Randy,
Our condolences on the recent passing of Wally Becker. Was he a fellow 'Bolter? If so, please take a moment and post a note in The Passing Lane - Stovebolt Memorials forum please.
On the planned Wisconsin Gabfest, maybe you could post the address and other particulars when you get things firmed up???
As I frequently travel up to Southern WI to visit my Mom and other family (pretty much scattered across the Southern 1/3 of the state), would love a chance to meet up with some fellow 'Bolters, if this is open for visitors too???

Finally time to get to work on my Grandpa's (now mine) truck!
Was hoping to find the pictures from 2016 but they didn't make it to the Bolt Bucket. (It was probably over-full by then!)
BUT ... I did find the the great pictures [s160.photobucket.com] from 2012. Great pictures from the crane! (Oh my ... I'm guessing now someone will have a drone! That will be some good shots, too!!)
Also, here's some of the chatter in the GL forums about that 2016 GABFest. Good planning. Good volunteers and sounded like a good time by all.

F.Y.I. The photos from 2012 were taken from a fire truck aerial platform. I was holding on for dear life, but I got the photos! I would like to thank Mick for origanizing that event. do not have a drone, but if someone has one maybe they could bring it along to this year's event.
To answer the question about visitors/spectators - Yes!
Peggy has asked me if I could use help with the event this year, and I am glad she did. The way the event is structured (or lack thereof), there is not a lot to do, but on the day of the event I could use some help getting everyone get checked in (welcoming, getting everyone signed in, parking). Wally and a few others always handled those functions. Before that, I could always use help spreading the word at area car shows, your local contacts, etc. I could supply flyers, if you could help in any way, please contact me at randy74@charter.net.
And if someone wants to volunteer their graphic skills, we can supply last year's flyer to use. They can be either linked here for download (as PDF or other) or can be attached here for a download.
If no one is able to do that (in a reasonable time), Randy we can use the basic info from the last one and update it. We also have a generic flyer that can be passed around. It also can be modified. And biz cards!!
(When I locate that, I'll make a link to it here.)
In the Events page (link on top), there are several handouts that can be printed out. They come as a download. The most recent one is called "Two on one" ... two flyers in one 8.5 x 11.
Keep us posted of what you may need. Even any thing about the volunteers or possible sponsors.
Peg
