I have a 58 panel truck that I am working on, I have lots of questions about that. I have a 1972 3door suburban that I drive and it will need a lot of work over the next couple of years. I am a heavy equipment field tech for a CAT dealer in Conway Sc just out of Myrtle Beach. I have been around old cars and motorcycles most of my life. My dad and uncles played with dirt cars and some street cars. My first car was a 1956 chevy pickup, I grew up in Louisiana until 1976 then moved to Hobbs NM until 1985, spent 8 years in the U S A F did some bombs and missiles loading, Then went to work in heavy equipment been their 29 years. I am not to good at this computer thing will try to up load some pictures as i learn this form thing. Looking forward to learning as much as I can here. And making some new friends along the way

scharleyride,

First off, WELCOME to the Stovebolt community (see as this is your 1st post). wave

Glad you decided to join us! grin

If you click on this link Picture Posting Guide, it should help you learn the ins and outs to get your truck pics posted.

Should you have some issues getting this sorted out, feel free to let us know so we can try and help you out.

One other note - best to ask specific individual questions in the related forum (engines, driveline, etc.) as it is easier to keep answers and help on topic for your need. If your not sure, we can always help move your question or conversation where it may best work until you get used to the site.

Looking forward to seeing pics of your trucks and future posts/conversations! thumbs_up

Welcome to Stovebolt!

Good "welcome" write-up. We think you will make some new friends here. thumbs_up

You have a view places you can hang your hat for a bit. The Southern Bolters are an active bunch. Let them know you have arrived!

The Legion Hall (also in the Side Lot) is another good place to "check in" as we say. "The place for veterans -- ALL veterans -- to check in and stand tall with your brothers and sisters in arms. Let us know who you are! Put the DD214 away -- your word is good enough."

If you need some help with those cranky computer issues computerdeath, or things like that on the site, the IT Shortbus covers a bunch of stuff already and is a good place to ask questions.

Remember ... always good to ask questions.

And the biggest one: your truck-related questions are generally covered in THE SHOPS.

If you have stuff about the car, that goes in the Greasy Spoon. That's also a fun place when you want to see how crazy some of these folks are.

Again ... welcome (and work on getting those five posts so you have have "full privileges" in here. laalaa
