I'm putting fentons on my 58 ,3600 truck with a 235 eng. I have no local muffler shops so I'm looking online to buy the system. I've found one..waldons, that has a kit, that will fit fentons/inline 6 eng from 50-54. I talked with the guy on the phone for a little and he wasn't certain of the difference between 1st and 2nd generation exhaust run... anyone out there know if other than a few tweaks I could make a1st generation work on my 58? I'd rather do the work myself than have it sit in a shop 150 miles away for a month in the weather... thanks

Corona Sam,

First off, glad to see you back. wave Your posts have been kinda few and far between, but no problems at all.

Just a note that you are still in "Moderated" status and need to complete at least 1 more post to get to full 'Bolter status (can then use all the functions like PMs to other members, etc.).

Before you get too much farther in your process, you might consider taking a look at this ad (not mine) from "Mator58" in the Swap Meet Truck Parts for Sale forum.

One of the things he is offering (and pictures are there) is a dual exhaust set up that he indicates was connected to a set of Fenton exhaust manifolds coming from his 235 equipped '58 Task Force truck. Would/could provide some info in answer to what you are asking.

Up to you if maybe of interest to you or not.

Others that have some experience with what you are asking about will mostly likely chime in here soon as well.

Good luck in your search! thumbs_up
