Hi I'm Roger or as my little granddaughter called me GRRROGER. I'm another newbie and excited to join STOVEBOLT.
This site seems to be just what I was looking for. My project is a 1954 GMC 150 5 window Hydramatic with an original service body (utility bed) on it. I'm located in the metro Phoenix area so it's got very little rust considering it's been sitting outside for the last 50 years. It last ran in 1978.
My goal is to make it into a functional, service truck capable of safely going 75 on the freeway. I'll be asking for lots of advice as this the biggest project I've undertaken. I think the Hi-Po forum is where I should probably ask my questions, agreed?

Welcome. Yes, you are going to be making major changes to get a daily driving highway speed work truck from a 66 year old truck. The HiPo Shop can certainly be of assistance. We have a few members close by for emotional support.
