Scott, one of the things I've learned in over 45 years of repairing, and modifying cars, trucks, boats, construction equipment, and airplanes is that it's a fruitless waste of time getting into a pi$$ing contest with someone who is convinced he's smarter than the engineers who designed the vehicle. I'll keep my opinions to myself on the open forum. If anyone wants to have a reasoned discussion without a lot of controversy, my email is in my profile, and there's always the instant message option.

Engineers design for the masses, I like to think I'm not a "masses". Dropped spindles in the front and moderate blocks in the rear work fine. As for shocks, replace only if the measured distance from the shock mounts is different than what it was before the lowering. I put 12,000 plus miles on my '51 chevy every year and it rides better than my new PT Cruiser.
