Several years ago I installed aftermarket glue on factory style door seals in my 1965 C10. I was not impressed. The door was very hard to close. After the seals were in for a few months, the doors were less difficult to close, but still very tight.
In 2014, I read a post on another forum. The writer had discovered that 2006 through 2009 Honda Civic 2 door coupe door seals were a PERFECT fit for a 1964–1966 C10 cab. The Honda seals are a press on fit and do not require any glue. The best part about it was that you didn’t have to slam the door anymore.
I just installed a pair of 2010 Honda Accord two door coupe door seals on my 1963 C10. I am very pleased with the fit and how the door closes without slamming. (I still need to adjust my driver door a bit to get it to close better.)
I’ve tried to find other press on door seals at the salvage yard. Chevy blazer door seals look like they should fit well, but they are a little bit too tight.
I’ve already tried the glue on style seals sold by vendors and was not impressed. Door seals are made by companies like Precision and Steele Rubber. I cannot say if those seals fit well or not because I have not tried them. However, I am very pleased with my investment of $16 for a pair of salvage yard 2010 Honda Accord coupe door seals.
