I have a 1936 gmc T-14 and I bought the cloth seal that goes around the firewall cowl and the radiator shell, but I have no idea how it is suppose to be installed. There are two small holes at the center of the cowl and also at the bottom and also a couple near the center of the run as it wraps around the bend and heads toward the frame. Can I use small pop rivet's or stainless steel sheet metal screws. I don't think adhesive would hold very well. Any help will be greatly appreciated
That material is used to seal the hood and cowl on my 1939 Packard. It is held in place with heavy duty rivets - not pop rivets.
I'll try to get a picture of both sides if you want. Did the place you bought the seal from sell any fasteners? One of the restoration supply places would have them - not necessarily Chevy specific.

Fast, I bought the ribbing and j hooks from the Filling Station. Attached are some pictures of how it installs. Since the wire is heat treated you only have one shot at bending it.
Interesting. How is the wire secured on the backside?

So I didn't get any J-hooks with the wire. I'll have to order some up from Jim Carter. Where do the J-hooks attach? Otto I would like to see what the rivet's look like. I can probably get them from the Fastenal store here in town. Dunfire , So it only attaches where the holes in the firewall and the rad cowl are factory drilled? Would like to see the under side of the cab to see what to do with the wire. The windlace looks a little to long, so can it be trimmed down to the proper length?
The wire just bends behind the hole and you can trim the wind lacing to fit. I will get a picture of the underside of the cowl where the wire goes in. I have two of the radiator ornaments and one at the chrome shop now. Depending on how much I have pay to get them and the chrome work, I have between 600 and 750 in them. If you find an unrestored one and want to restore it, I have the security washers that is on the underside, had them made out of SS.
