I topped off my gas tank in eastern Oregon while camping this past week and it was $5.71 a gallon for leaded gas . Makes one kinda wonder if owning a truck that is used to non corn gas is going to be a burden on owning and enjoying and maybe even sitting due to no more gas for it . I will just wait and see...............cause I am not sellling at this point..just complaining with the rest of ya that are.

Do you mean unleaded without Ethanol? I didn't think leaded gas is available anymore.

No help here but isn't aircraft gasoline still leaded? 110 octane or something like that? I know a guy who uses it in his classic racing boat.

Saw a news story that gas prices were up on the west coast because the refineries were shutting down for maintenance. Creates a shortage of gasoline and drives the price up. Nice of them to all do that at the same time.

Refineries are switching from Summer blend to Winter blend which always raises the prices. Now that OPEC is cutting back production the prices will stay up. Too bad we, as a nation, can’t figure out how to supply our own!

Too bad we, as a nation, can’t figure out how to supply our own! We produce more than we use now. There's no requirement for that production to be used domestically. The producers sell it to the highest buyer. It would be politically impossible for the government to put a domestic first requirement on oil production. https://www.nasdaq.com/articles/ame...meet-its-needs-so-why-do-we-import-crude

Tiny, trying very hard not to get political on this issue. Sell all they want after domestic needs are met. It’s all based on greed. I’m out!

I couldn't agree more Martin. It IS all about greed. Requiring domestic production be sold domestically would require legislation that will never pass congress. "Government take over" and all that. It's almost impossible to even discuss it without it becoming a political discussion. Commodity prices are no longer based strictly on supply and demand according to a retired hedge fund manager I listened to. That is 100 percent a political discussion so if you want to hear about it you'll have to PM me.
