Hi all, I am new here and new to cars/trucks so I have a lot to learn but I want to say thank you to all the great people here who are sharing info.

I have an 86 Ford F150, and a 60' Chevy Viking, and I'm learning lots, believe me. Loving it.

Grease Monkey, Moderator General Truck Talk & Greasy Spoon and HiPo Forum
Welcome to the Stovebolt madness. There is no cure! shake

I am the Moderator for General Truck Talk under THE SHOP AREA. '

If you are not sure where to post, no worries. Feel free to start in General Truck. I can re-direct any post to an appropriate forum where you'll get some effective feedback and/or help. After awhile, we are sure you will have wandered around Stovebolt enough that you'll know where to head to get answers.

Again, welcome ... the Stovebolt Collective is here to serve.

Hello Hudson,

With a Viking, you probably will want to check out the Big Bolts forum. There's Viking talk going on right now. wink (Plus, if you post in there, you'll soon get to the five posts that will open up your Stovebolt world. thumbs_up)

In that same PARKING LOT area, you'll find the 60-66 Forum. Another "posting" op!

Let these other forum folks know you have already checked in at the Welcome Centre and you are ready to get rolling.

Any chatter about non-Chevy / GMC trucks or cars, need to be in the Greasy Spoon. Lot of fun stuff in there.

If you have some questions about navigating the site, feel free to ask in the IT Shortbus. We've got folks to help.

AND the best for last. As you are *new* to this and "have a lot of learn," bring a lunch as you may spend a lot of time in THE SHOPS - General Truck Talk. The Engine Shop. Driveline. The Electrical Bay. The Radio Bench. The HiPo Shop. Paint and Body Shop. Interiors. The Tool Chest. Making a Stovebolt Bed. Name that Part. "Technical knowledge sharing" when you are ready to break out the tools and get to work. Plenty of space and tools available -- just find your way to the appropriate shop and get to work.

Good luck!

Welcome to the 'bolt. Please post a couple pix of your truck... maybe even have the droF in the background.

Another quality post.

Clever wink

Just for some background, Stovebolt has been around long, long time. In the beginning, Ford was a "banned" word, all in good fun. So many of the "old timers" here continue that tradition. Still: all in good fun. shake

So, droF is actually
