36 years with a redhead for me 2-ton. At least that is what color is on the Clairol bottle. Used to be natural though.

Carl .... I'm just wondering how many daze are in a yarr ... I know that I have a lot yet to learn from The Don, but apparently conversion to the Missouri Measurement System is one of them ...

Did I ever tell you about the first year we went to KC??? Mongo, OlTruk and Don talking and it was a good thing Mrs. Mongo (the Traffic Circle Queen) was there to be a translator or I wouldn't have understood a thing they said. Kiwi Tim did, for some strange reason ... go figure ...

John, when I moved from Maryland to Indiana when I was 14 I was constantly asked if I was from England. When I visited Pa. after living in Indiana for 20 years a waitress in southern Pa. asked if I was a Hoosier no, but I said I was born about 40 miles away and she said I still sounded like a Hoosier. ohwell

Ron -- We were stationed at Ft Harrison (Indianapolis) for three years, and one of my very best and oldest friends was born and raised just west in Danville. Personally, I really don't think Hoosiers have much of an accent at all -- at least the mid State Hoosiers. I think its that mid-west plains neutral whatever that we used to stress for broadcaster training. North of there and the chicago twang creeps in. South of there and you might as well be a Kentuckian. But middle of the State? Flat accent fur shur. Same for Ohio and middle Illinois. I don't think you speak with much of an accent, actually.

We have many transplants here because of the GM plant so you can hear a lot of the southern drawl here. A big contention of southern Ohio came here in the early eighties, Hamilton Ohio plant closed a lot came here.
