My latest regimen of pills include a 1.25mg once a week prescription vitamin D pill (sunshine vitamin) IN TEXAS. After 12 weeks can go to an OTC pill. Figure the doing every outside chore before sun rises or after it sets has a bearing on the problem. The daylight hours are spent in man cave with a-c. Wheeled trash to bin and went to mail box at 3pm today which should jump start the process. Already beat the average male life span by six years so wonder why the doctors are trying so hard.

Grey hair is not a sign of being over the hill but the number of pill bottles by your plate every morning is.

Most of mine is the original color, the sides are grey and so is my beard. My brother accuses me of coloring it, he turned grey in his early 30s just like his mother, he is also skinny like her but I took after dad and fat and dark hair. It is getting a little thin in the front. Now I know why a lot of men wear hats I never wore a cover in the Army if I could avoid it.

Hey Evan, doc's had me on 125mcg D3 every morning for about a decade....says if I want to keep that date in July of 2042 I'd need that....especially since I spend 99% of my time out in the dank dark barn. And Martin, you're invited to the blaze also, I think Alvin and I are going to need some help blowing out all those candles. I just hope I can still remember what the occasion is when that day comes! dg

Denny, I’m just 4 behind you. I’ll bring the fire extinguishers.

I take an over the counter Vitamin D everyday. I had a full blood work up that showed low vitamin D. The first year I didn't pay any attention to it. The second year when my results came back the same I started taking them. They do work. My vitamin D levels have been good the last 4 years. The pharmacist told me not to waste money on the expensive ones. He said when it comes to vitamin D they are all the same. Not true for some supplements. I think I pay about $8 for a 3 month supply.
