Got another good person to help out in the forums. yahoo

Gordon "Gord&Fran" Hillsden has been with us for a very long time. Just last week in 2000, as a matter of fact. Besides helping in other areas throughout the site (and help to me, personally), you'll see Gordon has great IT, good communication skills, and informative posts especially in the Shops Area.

Gord figured the "fix" for the YouTube auto embedding. It was so easy ... but who knew? Well, Gordon!

As a co-moderator, we think he'll be a great help to Paul, who has plenty on his plate behind the scenes, tweaking away, helping re-charge the site.

Ron ... special nod to you. wave

Please welcome to the Staff another Canadian (BC).

Welcome, Gordon

I try to help Peggy out with some stuff, but I'm pretty clueless on the inner workings of the UBB software.

Glad to have you aboard and thanks for the fix.

Thanks gordon for stepping up to the plate. We all know that baldeagle has done a fantastic job, but we can all use a little help.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I'm not an expert in the forum software or the platform that the web page is posted on. I do have an IT background starting as a programmer/analyst and retiring in infrastructure management. However, reading the moderator guide lines, I don't believe that an IT background is necessary. It looks to me that as long as everybody plays nice and keeps on topic, I won't have anything to do!

BTW, about the fix for the YouTube embedding. Lugnutz figured it out too. You just have to link to the video in such a way that the forum software doesn't recognise it as a YouTube link. The forum software tries to "improve" the user experience; unfortunately this improvement costs the host. Perhaps the next software release will do it differently.
