Mr. Stovebolt editor and chief in command! Yes, that’s correct, you did see plastic coated wires, but I’m sure your comment was in jest! I’m positive that a man with your wealth of Stovebolt knowledge, already knew that the “53” has plastic wire insulation from the factory! This truck never had cloth wiring, so yes, another original item! Hose clamps, not so much! Tim, You will find no wire ties in the engine compartment. But, there are some tidying up wires behind the instrument panel. Maybe even some bailing wire holding up some exhaust pipes. It was a farm truck after all! I rest my case!
And just for the record, as you can see (if you look close enough...) on my vacuum line, there is a plastic zip tie. I have no clue what I put it there for. I should probably remove it. BUT ... I *do* still have my factory original (thank you very much) hose clamps. So there.
And yes, my engine *IS* a factory correct color.
