Would someone in the Lexington Park Maryland neighborhood be willing to help me resolve an issue (a BIG overcharge) with the motel where I stayed during the recent weekend get-together at Mike's place? Attempts to resolve things through normal channels have fallen on deaf ears. It's probably best to discuss the details by PM, email or phone, as it involves a situation that might require some legal action, or at least giving the impression that things are headed that way. Thanks in advance!
Jerry

Jerry,
Did you charge it or paid in cash?
If you charged it, ask you card company to get involved.
Or, maybe, a F18 pilot could mistakenly drop an ordnance on it! Accident’s do happen after all!
Just kidding on that last solution!

Jerry,

I think John has some info for you. Might want to PM him to get the full story. PM is best way to reach him. (I should try that ... hahaha)

Thanks, Peggy! We've been dealing with a health care crisis with my 85 year old BIL all weekend that's been occupying our time more or less 24/7, trying to help him cope with a deteriorating situation long enough to make his next doc's appointment on Monday afternoon. The quotation "These are the times that try men's souls" comes to mind. Kudos to my wife- - - -she's a lot more patient with her brother than I am, but his altered mental state that appears to have been caused by a small stroke a few days ago seems to respond to my drill sergeant approach better than her soft, soothing tones! I'm having to use an approach that resembles the north end of a southbound donkey, but Martin will be glad to affirm that I can be good at that! I'm going to try one more phone call to the manager there on Monday before I try to send the whole ODSS crew to visit her one at a time, once a day for about a month! After being lied to by everyone I've been in contact with for several weeeks, it's hard to believe anything I'm being told.
LOL!

Just a quick followup- - - - -it looks like things have been resolved, and I'm not out of pocket any more money than I expected to be. Here's a big word of warning- - - - -If you're ever tempted to do business with Extended Stay America, do yourself a favor and go find a homeless encampment instead! The local manager at Lexington Park, and their corporate headquarters both get five Pinnochios where their communications are concerned! Thanks to everyone for your support!

Jerry,

Sorry to hear about BIL. Monday's coming ...

On the other issue, glad to hear things are resolved.

Gotta keep an eye on things. I've juggling four issues related to money mistakes. There were more but some of them were easy fixes. These last four have been difficult but I'm still working them.
