Marlow -- About that engine ... Um, we actually didn't extract an engine. We pretty much removed a truck from around an engine ...

All I know is that is one tough carburetor ... Between Jerry beating it with the digger bar, and me levering the whole weight of the truck against it with the excavator ... and the only damage it sustained were the two broken studs holding it to the manifold .... Once those broke, the whole truck lifted free. I thought of Carbking and was glad he was not there to see such ... horror.

chug

Jim -- No. Your pictures show lewd and debauched behavior. And ... you are sitting next to a known culprit. He has led many of us far stray from the straight and narrow pathways of a virtuous life with his "prescriptions." Behind that innocent "who, ME???" expression (which fools NO ONE), lurks a truly ... truly, I say .... something ... oh, forget it. Fine, I'll post the pictures of you and The Doctor.

It was great to see everyone ! We enjoyed seeing the farm and hanging out with all of you. The sun was shining when we got home so we fired up the old truck and went riding for about an hour. Thanks for having us there Mike !

Finally home. Pretty tired but thankful for the weekend. Was a bit sad to leave the property with the last remaining piece of my stuff in somd ( except for what was left with sweet in the essential office).

I was thinking to myself on my way out of the county, but it was only a few years ago that I would not have been able to tell you the difference between a 6 cylinder engine and a V8. One chance meeting with John and a 6-pack later, I was in good hands. Yesterday I loaded the last of 3 trucks on my own trailer, tied it down and trailered 600 miles. Prior to that 6-pack I would not have the confidence and where-with-all (or interest) to attempt. While I am not allowing all you ODSS'ers to shove me off, I do need to acknowledge the support and friendship attained over the last 14 yrs. I fell into good hands, learned alot (it continues) and gained the friendship of an diverse, eclectic group of like minded stooges. Cheers to all that contributed and to SB for being the mechanism that facilitated.
Now to decide which of 3 trucks goes to town with me today??

Doug,
Glad you got back safe!
Even though your three trucks are back, your still missing a vehicle from your motor pool.
A grocery getter that will truly stand out as you go through small town America. What could that be you ask? Something that looks good with the driver wearing a straw hat with a piece of straw hanging out of their mouth, an antique tractor!
Can’t wait to see the pictures when it arrives to the Hambone estate!

14 years ... ??? Wow. Seems longer. in a good way.

Hambone, you've not only lived the dream, you've reciprocated and enabled living the dreams for others.

You're a plank owner in a couple of important endeavours. Growing the ODSS dream ... a Choose & Cut christmas tree operation ... and blending the two ...There are a lot of milestones, of SB/ODSS and FF, that you helped place. A lot of photos in the album that you (and Sarah and Jack and Craig ...) are in. A lot of good times ... a few bad times ...

Thanks for sharing the path for awhile.

We all look forward to the next time you can be with us and we hope it's soon.

Sounds like you guys had an extreme amount of fun and got a lot done - as you normally do.
I’m really disappointed I couldn’t make it and wished I could have been with you all
Until next time,
Peace and love 😊

Great weekend. With all the crazy BS in the world today, its good to distance yourself to a little slice of heaven far from trouble. Spend it with old trucks, great pals, and Freyja. Thank you to the Roache family for opening your home to "a bunch of guys on the internet".

While the weekend was an overall success, my personal challenge to find Buddy's electrical short was not completed. I'll keep chipping away until its found!

Hambone, I am sure we will see you and your ugly trucks again very soon.

I will post my pics when I can. High School playoffs keeps us busy!

Great to see everyone and I hope we gather again soon.
