The old Bulletin Board has been removed from the server. And with recent "spring" cleaning, we are removing links back to it. The BB is still out in cyber space (to some extent) thanks to The Wayback Machine.
Any 235 will be a bolt in swap with your '41, only requires a few simple mods like water pump adapter. Also check out Tech Tips on this site. Best of luck
Ed Pruss can probably recommend a good engine builder in your area. He lives close to you. Was the engine that failed a 235, or the original 216? A 261 would also be an option, if you can locate one. Jerry

I got up to the customers home. It was more of a loud popping, coming through the carbs. I pulled the valve cover, and found a pushrod bent over and not in contact with the rocker. I tried to pull it out and it moved, but would not come out.. Hmm
The engine that failed was a 55 235 that had blown in this truck once before. I had my engine guy inspect it, and said the block was no good. We sent the engine in pieces to another builder who said he had other blocks. This one was to be used as a core. Then, it came back rebuilt... We put it in.. Perhaps a mistake.
