I had my own service station in the late 70’s. We did everything from engine overhaul to fixing flats. I remember distinctly the day my supplier came by and told me that flammable patch glue was no longer available. I bought every can he had left on the truck. I ran out about 30 days before I closed the doors and moved on.

[quote=Justhorsenround]I gotta ask : was it that the manufacurer wasnt selling enuf of the glue ,, or was some people getting high snffing it? Probably the latter. In California, I think you have to be 18 years old to buy the plastic model cement that I used to build models back when I was a kid. My aunt used to tell the story about them climbing on the gasoline tank at the farm when she was a kid and opening the lid to sniff it till they got woozy and fell off. She's dead now, but the gas fumes didn't seem to affect her when she was alive.

Government regulations and that’s all I can comment here without having to slap my own wrist.
