Article here. [bgr.com]

The only problem is the procedure is only entering the testing stage, but results are very promising. They've found a way to cause the little hairs to regrow.

I have plenty of hairs growing out of my ears now, but just the unsightly ones. Hope this works for them.

LOL, I did leave myself open for that comment! And I hope it's an option in time to hear again. The reality is some of us will age out before our turn comes.

JonG thumbs_up I wear hearing aids when I remember to put them in. It is amazing how sophisticated they are. They notify me when I get a text and in conjunction with my CHEAP smartwatch, it tells me the caller but only if it is one of my contacts. As far as ear hair, why is my hair on my head getting less but my nose and ear hair continue to grow prolifically?

It would be just my luck that the procedure would amplify the ringing in my ears.
I'm not complaining about the ringing. Not everyone gets to hear crickets chirping in the dead of winter. It tends to warm a guy up when he's in a deer stand all day in the freezing cold.

I'm always afraid a big buck will hear the ringing when he gets in too close, 50 yards or so.

A buddy and I while in high school observed that guys in our village either fell into one group or another. One group had plenty of hair on their head and not much on the rest of their body. The other group had less hair on their head but plenty of hair on their body and as they aged and hair left their head it seemed to grow generously on their backs, chests, arms, face, out their nose, ears, etc. We also noticed the men in the second category tended to have larger boned hands and larger skulls. And it was one of those universal things...not associated with body type, race, size or anything like that. Just a guy thing, I suppose. Maybe a hormone thing.
