Hi, Jim Carter no longer does hydrovac rebuilds since covid. Where are you either finding rebuild kits or rebuilds getting done for a 2 ton truck?

James Price I think your local NAPA ,Oreilly,Autozone can help you is just expensive. Had better check it over carefully may be still good,I have 2 that are about 70 yrs old work fine. In the service book they tell you to give the booster Bendix vacuum cylinder oil (2 oz.) Jim Carter himself told me that is hydraulic jack oil found at your local parts store. Done that thru a 1/8 th. plug on the booster went to working good !! Inside there is a big leather cup that likes that oil 2 times a year. Once you get it serviced it makes a special noise when it is happy. Good Luck with your service.

I was going to send mine to White Post Restorations in Virginia but instead I ordered a rebuild kit from Midwest Power Brake Products, Inc. = midwestbooster.com. I had good success with the rebuild and the kit was perfect. I tore mine down first to evaluate whether I was going to attempt it.

I had mine rebuilt by cardon ind. I went through my local NAPA store. They took care of the shipping for me. At the time, around a year ago, I paid $250.00 plus shipping

I have had excellent experiences with both White Post Restorations as well as Midwest Power Brake.
That said, I also just got a rebuilt unit off the shelf at my local parts store...not kidding, they had it just sitting on the shelf.
