Welcome Claus, yes there are others here from Germany. I met one of them several years ago on my way from Bayern to Holland. I even presented him with an official Stovebolt flag. You have a Canadian GMC, that's why it has a Chevy engine.

When you post a question please identify your truck (1949 GMC 9300).
One member from Kaiserslautern has asked many questions.

Willkommen Claus,
Ihr LKW is eine Schonheit.
My family came from the Holstein-Schleswig area so you will have to translate my very poor High German into your very acceptable Low German.

Welcome to the 'bolt. I sold a 39 pickup that was sent to Germany several years ago.

Another quality post.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Hallo,
Schleswig Holstein is exactly the other side from Germany.
I stay at the south from Germany. Bavaria, 100 miles far from Munic near the Austria Border.
You stay one time in Germany?
I d like to travel to the United States but my wife nows if we travel, every junk yard will be mine.....
Second reason: if i m in USA i will buy an Oldtimer but money money.....
So i have to wait...
Claus
