To paraphrase Dickie Smothers: I yelled Fire when I fell into the toilet. (Do not read within 1 hour of a meal.) https://www.kitsapsun.com/story/new...-into-mt-walker-vault-toilet/7398734001/

I was born on a farm in northern Maryland. Up until 1960 it only had an outhouse. Periodoticly it had to be moved. On one of the moves, the outhouse had been moved but the old hole and not been filled yet. My 4-year-old cousin was looking at the work and fell in but his shirt caught on a root sticking out of the sidewall and saved him from going in all the way. But at that time they told us if he had gone in all the way he would not have survived. I am going to a family gathering and I assume he will be there. Do you think I should bring it up???? The gathering is in Fishers In, to celebrate my brother's 80th birthday and 60th wedding anniversary. There is more to celebrate than I will share.

That's disgusting. Hope her shots were up to date. There was a project at a big sewage lift station up here that required a guy to scuba dive into the wet well to fix something. Also YUK!!

Confirms what I have said several times. Some people are so addicted to their phone they can't even go to the rest room without using it.

An oldtime Halloween prank in the farming community where I went to high school involved several guys picking up an outhouse at night and moving it back just behind the hole in the ground it was built over. Someone answering a late night call of nature could get a very unpleasant surprise! Jerry

Confirms what I have said several times. Some people are so addicted to their phone they can't even go to the rest room without using it. That's why I REFUSE to get a smart phone. Mine is a flip phone and does what I need it to do, which isn't that much. I do not want to be addicted to one of those other things!

My cell phone is my only phone. I have to make a conscious effort to remember to take it with me.

Jerry Next small town downriver from the even smaller town 5 miles from where I was raised has a annual rodeo, had outhouses for many years. Can still picture my dad's good friend Bob with his head sticking out the hole after boys tipped it on it's side.

One of the most hilarious mental images I can dream up is of my toddler daughter at about age three, hanging onto the toilet seat with her knees and elbows, and yelling "HELLLLLPPPPPP- - - - -HELLLLPPPPP!" at the top of her little lungs! She had lost her balance and almost fell all the way into the porcerlain throne! She will be 50 later this month, and that episode is still one that doesn't get mentioned- - - -EVER! LOL! Jerry
