So the guy just wants an engine? Does the class he's running specify a particular block casting number or something? Back in the 1960's the way to get a Corvette owner's goat was to call his car a "fiberglass Impala"! Jerry

My brother-in-law bought a 2008 a year ago he had 3 over time back in the early 70s. He is a retired GM employee. Anyway, this one is a real beauty, and all the bells and whistles. BUT difficult to get in and out of and rides like a brick.

I owned a 76 Vette same color as the blue one you have shown Evan . even thought they were not as popular than the older Vettes ,they were worth more than the 80ies and 90ies .. I did some work on mine ,,but all I can say now is I owned one and it sure got the thumbs up .. https://photos.app.goo.gl/r7BD2oPQdiP6SZVV9

Interesting lift you had there, Larry. Kind of a pain to make it go up and down though, eh?

Jerry, when I stated "virgin" it meant standard bore and crank. The Corvette is a second owner with verifiable history so that is why we bought it. Corvettes have 4 bolt mains which we DID NOT want for racing but some people are caught up in catch phrases like "4 bolt mains and 4 link rears".

"As I said, they have no value and we already have more Corvette chassis than we will ever use so it's crusher time; a shame." Back in 1985 I bought a 1966 for 10K, today 1966 Corvette. [ bringatrailer.com] So, lets not be so sure of our selves folks.
