Trying to locate two seat adjuster springs for my 1948 3600. I understand they are about 12" long but don't know where they attach on the slider mechanism. Pics would be great of both sides. Anyone know a source to buy these springs? Thanks!

Check your local hardware store for the springs. Places like Ace Hardware have assortments of springs. As far as attachments, they connect to the seat riser in front, just inboard of where the sliders mount and to the seat frame itself behind that (pulling the seat forward). The attached pic is from the service manual on page 1-17. The springs attach at the points marked A.

Thanks but don't see where it attaches to the adjuster. Also don't have that rod that runs across the seat from adjuster to adjuster. Did 1948's have those?

That pic is of the '51 and later style seat adjusters. Yours is a cable type, without the rod crossing between the adjusters. The springs are the same. Rear attachment is to the seat frame (Point A on the lower right of the photo.) Front attachment point is on the seat riser, not on the adjuster. Here's another pic. The spring hooks on the small oblong hole at lower right. The adjuster bolts on with the two larger holes.
