My older brother, a workaholic, just told me he's getting a 1963 Chevy half ton pickup. He's turning 70 and is semi-retiring. It's a short fleetside with a tired 292. Three speed column shift. He doesn't have it yet, no pics, sorry.

I had that same exact truck, except mine didn't have a 292, because the motor mounts were not staggered. It smoked real bad so I named it "Old Smokey". Eventually, I swapped the six for a 283 and changed the transmission from a 3 speed column shift to a 4 speed (Granny Low) floor shift. I sold it way too cheap to a scumbag that just trashed it. That was way back around '85-86.

Congrat's to your brother. You need to get him on board.
