I think I got the spot you were looking for… came out at 17 1/4 inches from head to head[/quote]
AMAZING! Thank you! Turns out the temporary brace that was in place was pushing the front of the skirt panels together so I had 16.5". Thank you! Thank you!
Messed around with the other rear rims/tires. Frame clearance is ok.. just need to mock up the box and fenders. Front trans mount is nearly finished.. this is going in to tie the frame behind the front spring where the original riveted piece was removed to clear the TH400
It's hard to see in the pic but the scoop needed to be flattened on the rear to clear the firewall... it was a touch long and bulbous to get the scoop on with the filters mounted.
Progress of sorts.

Modified the original inner fender well to clear the header and add some rigidity to the fender. Wrapped the header and a couple of other minor updates..
It's also the last day this week without rain in the forecast so did some paint stripping on the passenger door. For being 82yrs old the door is in pretty decent shape. Hashtag "farm truck life" it looks like someone screwed a sign into the door at some point. There are 4 evenly spaced holes drilled in the door that were previously filled
