Happy Saint Patrick’s Day to those with Irish heritage. Enjoy your celebrations and a reminder to wear your green proudly to prevent the dreaded pinch!

I am half Scottish, but will have a cold one and join in the Irish celebration.

I can never remember when Patty's Day is. Just to be safe I wear green every day and have corned beef and cabbage monthly.

Maybe I just want an excuse to wear green and eat corned beef...

Brisket prices are killing me this year though. I usually buy a few of them in the fall/winter to process into corned beef and pastrami, but they were just too much this year. I think I only have 2 pieces left in the freezer.

That was McGurk’s, just south of downtown St. Louis in the Soulard area.

Does anybody else besides me enjoy the sound of bagpipes??? When they crank them up it is a very stirring sound.
