Mixed Up
Just from the pictures this looks like a nice truck. I don't know anything about it but plan on being at the auction.
Also, I know the auctioneer and his wife and will be asking to get a preview with more pictures to give a report on the condition of the truck.
If anyone would be interested in this truck, I can do the bidding for you, with you listening in on the phone.
I will also pay for it on sale day and get it to our farm that's only about 12 miles away. You can pick it up or maybe we can bring it to you.
And no, I'm not out to make money, just pay me what it cost me to get it to our place. I've done this before for some other Bolter"s, so PM me and I'll give you the contacts.
Going to send the auctioneer a PM now.

Good timing Kevin, the auctioneer just stopped by our house and the wife and I will get a preview Monday.
He thinks the motor is froze up, but I'll check that out then. I told him I would not let it sell cheap.
More info and pictures next week.

Looks like an exterior repaint and an interruption of restoration of the bed. It has later wheels and hubcaps on it. But the interior of the cab looks original. Pretty complete truck. If the engine rolls over, the truck should be worth some money to someone wanting to do an original restoration.

The Chevy pickup looks solid. Gas filler neck in the side of the bed panel is 47 and 48 only. It might be a late 48 sold in 49 and titled as a 49... Probably bring a good price.

Frank, I should be able to get a preview tomorrow and post a report with pictures.
This is a live auction and with the weather that is headed our way, all bets are off on the final price.

Update:
Sorry I'm late with an update, but I got to go over the 49 Monday. This truck as as rust free as I have ever seen one.
The odometer showed 56,000+ miles and I think that is the actual miles on the truck. Brake and clutch pedals looked just slightly worn.
Horn was mounted on the firewall instead of the manifold, but that may be because of the oil filter in the way.
Now the kicker. The auctioneer sent me the VIN number, 27850, I could not find a number to match it up on the truck.
There was no number below the distributor? Just a blank machined surface.
Think I'll post that question in the General truck topics and hope for an answer.
Pictures!
