I got up later than usual today, 6 am not 4 am and then about 8 am I opened the blinds to look at the birdies, and there it was SNOW but only about 2 inches. 15 years ago when I was 62 I bought a new snowblower with an electric start but I said I don't need a self-propelled, today I found out how wrong I was. I do my 60x24 feet concrete driveway and also do my neighbors because he is gone a lot and to make it look like someone is home. My other neighbor is in the snowplowing business and is getting ready to go out. I then took the HHR out for a spin, I HOPE NOT. It did fine at slow speeds. It does have new tires on it.

Only had two snows so far this month. That makes three for the entire winter season. Which in my case is good as it's another month before I get the okay from the doctor to resume normal activity. I never dreamed that recovery from hernia surgery would be so restrictive. I'm practically going stir crazy not being able to do anything.
Thirty more days and I'll be allowed to slowly start working up to my normal routine. I must admit, Theresa's done a good job using the Kubota for clearing the driveway.

We got a good dump 6 days ago, about 16-18 inches. It has been colder than usual as well.

It's about 150 ft from front porch to shop door and shoveling sunshine is wearing me out!! Of course in July or August the temp will give the St. Bernard rescue dog a heat stroke.

We got 6-7 inches dumped on us Friday night and most of it is still here. Probably going to have to look at it for a week or more.

I have a cousin that lives near Harrisonburg and his driveway goes straight up the side of the east-facing mountain off of highway 81. I drove the 54 up it a couple of times, not fun.
