We are still asking: What did you get done on your Bolt today ????
The question, initially posted May 23, 2005, was:
"Whatcha do on your Bolt this weekend?"
After 51,906,997 views, 7378 replies over 185 pages, this thread in General Truck Talk is a happening! And it's not just weekends anymore.
Well I sure hope I am doing this correctly. Not on any social networks so the whole idea of posting is new to me. I have read your posts for a while shopping for my truck. I looked for over two years but finally found what I wanted this past November. A 1953 Chevy with the original 216 engine and three on the tree. I did see quite a few really nice trucks that were either beyond my price point or just modified too much for me. While this truck is not 100% original it is closer than many I looked at and I can drive it now. I bought this as my retirement toy to keep me busy doing what I love to do. Not retired yet but planning for May 2023. There are a number of items I want to address on the truck and have been reading your posts and can definitely see how it will be both beneficial and fun to be a part of your forums. I attached a few pictures of the truck below. Looking forward to reading posts and talking with y'all.

Deegs, Welcome sir! Nice looking ride you have there! Where about in the Phila area are you? I’m located in Eastern Bucks county as well as 4 other truck enthusiasts. We often,......... well sort of, get together often. Jim
Deegs, Welcome home! Best site on the web or these old Chevys and GMC. Thats a handsome pickup you have. Any questions just ask in the Garage forums......watch for others from your area. There are quite a few here.
Welcome! That is a really nice truck you have there! You mentioned that it's not entirely original. Just curious as to what's been modified on it. Looks pretty original from here.
You may want to consider putting your truck in the Gallery forum down below. In the heading to that section there is a link to the Gallery Posting Guide. Click on that and it will tell you everything you need to know about how to do that.

Deegs, I’m 10 or so minutes from you! Churchville. A couple more back and forth’s on this post will get you unmoderated then I can PM you more info on my location. Glad you found the site! Nothing but great people behind it! Jim
Jim, Churchville is close to me. Thanks for replying and asking my actual location. I have been reading as much as I could access on this site for sometime now. Kept putting off joining, happy I finally took the plunge looking forward to being able to talk with others who have similar issues like me.😁 Deegs
Rich, The body is original. The truck was upgraded to a 12volt system and some of the interior is not quite accurate although it looks close. I am extreme!y happy with it though as I did not want anything that was compromised in appearance. Some of the trucks I looked at were nice and kind of cool but I did not want bucket seats and 500 watt sound system. Fell in love with these trucks years ago when I helped a friend do a restore on a 1955 1/2ton. That was many years ago and I never lost the bug to have one some day.
