The latest fad of people having some sort of a pet to replace the teddy bear they had as a kid has gotten a little out of hand- - - -like the guy who insisted his support peacock had to accompany him on an airline flight. Maybe it's time for me to join the group, and I've already got the sign prepared.

I need an emotional support chicken to calm my feeling of hunger at meal time. Slow cooked in smoker works best.

Maybe I need to recruit Evel Kneivel as a technical advisor! "D Day" from Animal House might be another possibility! LOL! Jerry

I like it! And I agree, they are out of hand. My best pal passed 4 years ago, yellow lab. His tags are on my belt and his collar on my chair.

I had to shoot my dog last week, someone told me my best friend was having an affair with my wife.

I have never been a pet person. Cats are definitely a no-no and dogs are ok. My first dog got run over by a delivery truck back on the farm, after that it was 15 years and it was a family dog. Then after I got married we had a poodle for 16 years had to put him to sleep, he had cancer. I have thought about it many times since my divorce but I did not think it was fair to leave home all the time. So now I have a friend that has 2 huskies and they are a substitute for one of my own. I bring them out to my house to run because I have a fenced yard and her yard is not.
