The question, initially posted May 23, 2005, was:

New member. Been watching and learning. Picked up 1951 panel as a project for my dad. Recently found the site and have a lot in a short period. Thanks in advance for the information and assistance.

Welcome to the site, my first project was a 1953 panel that I enjoyed for many years. It's a fun journey getting these trucks back to what they used to be. Have fun with it and visit here if you need help.
Wait till Alvin see's this. You have a great start for your project. Welcome to the BOLT.

Welcome to Stovebolt. Wow, sure brings back a lot of memories. I restored/modified a 52 panel. Took me 6 years and I drove it for 7 years before someone else wanted it worst than me!! Boy I sure do miss it now and wish that it was one I kept.
Lots of knowledgeable folks here willing to help. Just ask questions in the garage forums.
