See my post on the "getting old" thread- - - - -the one about developing a low tolerance level for stupidity! My days of being a moderator of anything besides my own responses to fools and bullies with an overactive ego and a keyboard are long gone. Jerry

I was going to say, don't poke the bear. Especially if it's a Grizzly. But I didn't want Jerry to take it the wrong way!

For having been a Moderator in other Forums he sure has little use for Moderators. For those who think our job is easy feel free to step up and volunteer.

I'm getting there slowly, far TOO slowly to suit me! The doc, the home health care nurse, and my retired respiratory therapist wife have a narrow-minded viewpoint about working in the shop while I'm still on supplemental oxygen! What could possibly go wrong while working around a torch, assorted types of grinders, and gasoline, oil, and other flammables?????? LOL! Jerry

Martin, I liked wearing the lightning bolts on my collar, but the goose-stepping made my knees hurt! All said in "due respect" jest, of course! If the stove is too hot, there are places other than the kitchen! Jerry

My brother in laws wife died a few months back and because of taking care of her, he got 2 hernias. He had surgery 2 weeks ago and I have been driving him back and forth to Indy VA hospital. He went in for his check-up Wednesday and the Dr. told him he is coming along ok. But he champing at the bit to do more. I can see the improvement in his posture and movement. He usually goes to Hilton Head every year but he's fearful of being down there alone if he would have issues. I told him I would drive him down and that I would rent a car and visit relatives on the way back. Might even visit Alvin. I have had the surgery but I was a teenager then so don't really remember all the issues I might have had. Just take it easy and follow the doctor's orders.

Waa haa ha. You all are a bunch of comedians. Go ahead and laugh it up.
There's no goose stepping around here, Jerry (that's soooooooo passe). But you're gonna love reading your mandatory texts -- "The Will To Change: Men, Masculinity and Love" by Bell Hooks. and "Angry White Men: American Masculinity at the End of an Era" by Michael S. Kimmel.
Once you're done with those, pull on your birkenstocks and we'll hold hands and discuss Che Gueverra's lingering influence on popular culture. I think Hambone has volunteered to lead that one.
