My headliner had already disintegrated when I purchased my truck last year. My husband got me a new one (cardboard) but it didn't come with a diagram, and all the pictures I find online show them in opposite directions. I don't want to bend and crease it trying to figure it out so I was hoping that someone could tell me which end goes where on both pieces. I'd really appreciate it.

You can't buy happiness but you can buy a truck...and that's pretty much the same thing.

Thank you, Harold! That will definitely be helpful. I'm trying to get my wiper panel cleaned up now...makes sense to have it installed first (I never took my rear panel out).

One piece is about 11.5" 'deep', flat on one side and slightly curved on the other. It has 7 curved notches on one long end, and one curved notch with three holes on either side. The other one is roughly 14.25" 'deep', has nothing on one side, and 7 curved notches on the other. Both pieces have two larger curved notches on both sides. I have no idea which one is front, back, or which way either of them are supposed to be facing. It didn't come with a diagram or instructions, and everything I find online is just pictures of them (like the one I posted), or directions on an install. None of it tells you which one goes where. I'm sure I'm making it harder than it needs to be, that I've never installed cardboard in the top of a 75 year old truck before. LoL

Does your headliner look like this photo? Open the photo and enlarge so you can see the details.
Where did you buy yours and what P/N?

Harold, I believe that's the exact picture that I posted. Hubby said he thought it was Chevs of the 40's, but he got it for me last year, and it came with no diagram or anything. Their website doesn't show anything either.

The attached paper should answer all you headliner questions. I wrote this as I installed mine. Just take your time and do not force anything. It will all go together. Do not wet your cardboard it will mess it up. Nice slow bends changing position each day will give you the bend you need.
The answer to your question is the big piece, Top of your photo, goes in the front towards the header panel.
