Another birthday in 15 days and no joy. When it interferes with my work it is irritating but bearable but now it is wrecking my PLAY. The only car, a Ford GT40, to give me a 200mph ride is for sale and I can't get in or out of it without help---bummer. I hope the customer sells it to someone across the big pond so I won't have to see someone else with it.

Put me on that hate list also. Can't say I'm enjoying it.

Getting older beats the alternative. I came close enough to looking at the brown side of the grass a couple of months ago that I'm more than willing to put up with the inconveniences! One (good?) thing the experience gave me was a greatly reduced tolerance for stupidity and a lot more willingness to point it out!

Jerry, agreed. Having said that it's become profoundly clear to me that whoever coined the phrase "Golden Years" darn sure wasn't in them when they said it.

If he's over 40 miles from a VA facility, aren't they supposed to provide a private contract health care facility closer to home? That's how they do it here in Tennessee. I've had virtually all of my VA care, including cataract surgery, sinus surgery, and hearing tests done by private providers.

I am 87 now & its really hard to work on my truck. I hate even the thought of someone else working on it. I'll be a year older in about a month.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
