If you cannot find any to melt down, you buy Babbit from several suppliers.

Have you tried these guys? They have all sorts of Babbit alloys, or they can custom blend to your specifications:

I have ordered various metals from them used for bullet casting alloy when wheel weights would not give the correct hardness.
