My 1953 half ton 5 window pickup came with beat up outer stainless steel trim. But it was not on the truck. There was no glass, nor gaskets on the truck at all. My question is: in 1953 did all 5 window trucks come with the outer stainless windshield trim?

I have seen them both ways. It's rare but I have seen 2 that had stainless trim on the in side windshield and I have one of them.

The curved glass and the rear glass did not come with SS trim. You can buy "chrome" rubber seal retention beading for the corner and rear glass, and it really makes the cab pop with all the rest of the glass trimmed in SS.
