I was wondering what this rear cover came off of? It has a inscribed GMC into the cover. Try to attach a photo but don’t know if it’s working

A teacher, but always an apprentice.
I’m guessing here, but based on the script and being a GMC, I would guess at a 39-46 1/2 ton 4.11 rear end cover. The ND GMC (47-53) script on tailgates, etc was different than this one.

Correct me if I’m mistaken, Bolters.

I have seen a few of the 41-46 1/2 tons and brought some wayward and lost 41-46's home too yet, these 41-46/early 47 1/2 tons didn't have the script. I'm guessing (emphasis on guessing) that this could be from model years prior to 1941...or remotely possible a custom fabrication..

What's the bolt circle diameter? I seem to remember some of the big bolt GMC's having a logo on the differential cover.
