I'm looking to build a custom AD pickup bed from scratch following the tech tip:
https://www.stovebolt.com/techtips/bed/bedsides/index.html. However, I don't have existing bedsides to use as a template. Help me help others by expanding the info missing from the tech tip : measurements!
If you have a factory bed, can you measure the following, and post what truck you have (year, and 1/2, 3/4, or 1 ton) in case other folks are trying to make a factory bed?
-Length of bedsides
-height of bedside from the bottom to the corner of the bend
-length of the bend, from the corner to the edge of the curved "tube", and whether early angled top (47-53) or later flat top (54+)
-OD and ID of the "top tube". Tech tip lists 1-1/4 but not whether this is OD or ID.
-angle of the bend on the early (47-53) ::
