There were two different radios for the 1947 to 1953 period. The earlier 1947 to 1950 radios had a cabinet back that met the sides on an angle. People sometimes refer to these as "slant back" radios. The model used from 1950 to 53 had the standard cabinet back. The two radios looked very similar when installed, but the dials were different. I am not totally sure of the color schemes except to say that one model, I think the earlier one was done in a metallic copper brown. I believe the later radio models from 1950 to 53 were done in a grey metal type finish. The interior chassis arrangement of the two models was quite different. The circuits were different too and reflected progress as the design changed in the time period.
