hello from the great state of jefferson. im not sure if im new , or just cant remember my previous log in info . but your bookmarked now .either way .i dont have a classic chevy truck at the moment . but that could change any minute ! i do have a 42 sd coupe with a 235 6 so i hope that kinda counts for something . either way i am a certified old car freak who is trying to thin my herd .but every time i part with one i seem to haul two more home . and i dont foresee a change in the near future ! i do have a old ford f1 which is all chevy . best way to fix a ford , in my opinion! anyway i recently did a 216/235 swap on my special deluxe that last was driven/blew up in 81 .so waking a 80 yr old baby from a 40 yr nap has been quite the project . im learning more about what i dont know about a 235 every day my 848 head is away being built as i write . i hope . the rocker assy. is about trash so im considering installation of the orig. 216 assy. which is in very good condition. probably the wrong forum for that conversation .but as a intro, thats the kinda idiot i am . glad to be aboard . and hopefully i wont be thrown overboard , bill

buickbill, welcome to the Stovebolt. I can see from your handle that your are definitely GM and been around the block a few times.
As a former memeber you probably remember Stovebolt is all about trucks....not that we don't love a lot of other vehicles, me included with my 50 coupe! (love the pic of your 42)
Since trucks and cars share a lot in common, especially the engines, just ask questions about them but don't mention its a car or the moderator patrol may get you....well, unless you talk about cars in particular in the greasy spoon. ohwell

You have lots of knowledge and share it here on the bolt. As we are known to say...Knowledge is the Best Resource.

See you around the garage.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

OOOK, go to the list of forums and choose the forum you want to post in. Click on it and it will then show you a list of post in that particular forum. Up near the left top there is a little square that says "New Thread". Click on it and you will get an empty box to write your comments/questions. Once your finished go to the bottom of the box and click on Post Reply.

Hope this helps.
