Today I finished the replacement of the rear main seal and oil pan gasket, no runs drips or errors. Dumped a bottle of Bars Leak radiator and heat core stop leak to get a couple of pin holes sealed in heater core plugged. Seems to have worked. But it’s been a busy summer on the farmbolt with using por15 floor pan restoration kit to patch the floor pan, built a new bed that’ll be useful until I can locate some channel steel to replace the original rotten and bent up channel that surrounded the bed. Sanded and repainted the interior of cab except the doors. I’ve put some new glass in the passenger door and the driver wing vent window. Put some new mirrors on also. Installed new rubber sound deadening material and floor mat although I’ll have to replace the mat later as no one has the correct mat for the 4 speeds in stock idk something about a rubber shortage. The mat for the automatics does work just the fit and finish is a bit off but will work for the time being. And after 13 years I finally registered the truck with antique plates. Replaced the differential seal, rebuilt steering box and replaced drag link so no more wandering down the road. So its not quite coming to together the way I had originally envisioned but covid taught me we’re not promised tomorrow and I want to use and drive the truck so I won’t will any trophies at the show and she ain’t the prettiest but mechanically she is sound and fun as all get out to run around in. Hunting season starts in a week so I’m off to the woods for three months and perhaps in the new year I’ll make her a bit prettier or not. That my story today
