I'd like to find a factory full-flow oil filter canister for the 58-62 Chevy 261 engine.
Anybody have one to sell?

I've got one for a GMC- - - -I believe they're the same. The plumbing might be different, but the canister and the filter element should be similar.

Was there a USA GMC 261?

Was there any other 1962 or earlier USA 6-cylinder GMC engine that had a full-flow oil filtration system/option?

Here is an illustration of some of the devices and the "plumbing". [1954advance-design.com]

Here is some information on Deve's website [devestechnet.com] - I have not studied it, but I assume it would be correct information.

- If you have to stomp on your foot-pedal starter, either you, or your starter, or your engine, has a problem.
- The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" - this is a splash oiler. [chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com]

I have one if the other one isn't what you're looking for.
