In my past trade, if an action is not documented, it didn’t happen. So, this will be the picture thread that proves we did have the Reunion this year. I’ll start it off. Two pork shoulders and a big Dutch oven of beans on the smoker for Saturday’s meal.
Don
Edit: Well, the shadows made that look pretty poor. But trust me, the smoked pulled pork will be good! Oh, and those are fresh out of the garden cherry tomato’s in the beans.

Tuts, what are you and Alvin riding in? Driving that distance, we understand not being in an old truck. Supposed to be 95 degrees Saturday.
Vicki and I are starting to load up. She has been baking cookies all morning. Picked up a bunch of dogs this morning for Friday evening and maybe Saturday. Hope to be at Mongo’s garage by 3pm tomorrow.
Safe Travels Everyone! Don

Got the 65 GMC loaded up today and should be getting on I-70 at Kingdom City about 10:30 am tomorrow. So far, I have only had three of Vicki’s cookies, still warm out of the oven!
Don
Edit: How do you like the camper shell?

We stopped just outside of St Louis for the night. About 150 miles to go.

Let me guess? Fairview Heights area? Hwy 159 and I-64. St. Clair Square is also there. Don’t forget the Chic-Fel-A, just south of the interstate for breakfast! I have heard that Larry Flint has a entertainment center around that area. Don’t travel to far off the interstate until you get into Missouri. And even then, don’t go on the north side.
Keep us updated on your trip with pictures and we’ll meet up somewhere tomorrow! Don

We should leaving Omaha between 2 and 3 and will be camping 30 miles North of Independence, at Smithville. Not sure if we'll make it to Mongo's tonight. If not, see you in the morning.
I made a shirt to wear on Saturday in solidarity with the crew since I won't make it this year.
I'll take one in an Xlrg

Just got back to the cheap hotel and it has been a great day at Mongo’s garage. Plenty of hot dogs and beans were consumed along with Vicki’s made from scratch cookies. T shirts were inventoried and ready to distribute tomorrow. Boy Scout flag retirement ceremony tomorrow morning and then back to the garage to wrench and tell stories. Vicki will be making scrap material rugs and will show anyone who wants to learn how. The guys will be going over the 65 GMC with the 292. More dogs and pulled pork is on the menu along with a big pot of baked beans.
More pictures to prove the epic event happened will follow tomorrow. Don

Back at the cheap hotel now, what a great day!!! Good food, Good place to meet and great folks to hang out with. Got to tour Mongo,s salvage yard and it was well worth the tour. That should be on the list of things to do next year.
Mongo bought the 65 GMC one ton from us, so we have an empty trailer for the ride home tomorrow. More pictures later.
The Reunion is still alive!! Don

Vicki led a demo on making rugs out of rags. Mike Taylor (oltrucks) was there the whole day. He says he can’t sign in on Stovebolt anymore, so we need to look into that issue.
But a good time was had by all! Don
